LESSER SCAUP - 1 first winter drake
Lesser Scaup - whilst watching the Long-eared Owl at Rye, Dave and Penny Green kindly told us the news of the Scaup and whilst I was very excited to go and see it, I did have to persuade my Dad who wasn't fond of Ducks, but thankfully we saw the Scaup firmly inside Sussex. What I didn't know at the time was that this was the first and only Lesser Scaup in Sussex, so looking back now I'm very glad we made the effort.
