GREEN HERON - 1
Excellent views of this transatlantic mega. Took no notice of the hundred or so people surrounding it. Due to the poor weather, I didn't take my camera so its fair to say I was pretty gutted.

Telscombe Cliffs 5/6/08
TRUMPETER FINCH - 1
Left work early for this county mega which showed reasonably well on the cliff edge by Telscombe sewage works. This was the last of a fantastic run of birds for Sussex in the past few weeks.

Whitbread Hollow, Beachy Head 30/5/08
A certain mega was found alongside Steve Dawson today whilst searching for a Rose-coloured Starling.
RIVER WARBLER - 1 male singing found along the ride above the Hollow. (1st for Sussex)
BEE-EATER - 1
Brambling - 1
Due to the very elusive nature of all Locustella Warblers, no photos were taken at all of the River Warbler, but recordings were taken of its 'sowing machine' type song. Brilliant!!!
The Bee-eater flew over whilst surrounding the bushes of the Warbler.

Never saw this bird in flight as it kept all it's time clinging to the wall of the county hall.

SHORT-TOED LARK - 1
A very distinct individual seen only briefly but relevant features seen well. It showed within 5 minutes of my arrival before completely disappearing for much of that day, even though we saw where, or at least where we thought it went.

Sidlesham Ferry Pool 19/4/08
This fantastic LESSER YELLOWLEGS showed well from the hide at the Ferry Pool. It mainly consorted with Redshanks close to the road. Light was poor so horrid photos were taken.

Selsey 20/2/08
My first ever Lapland Bunting at long last. It was a beauty however and showed very well along the coastal path by the lifeboat station.

Yet another Spoonbill seen in the Cuckmere, this time on the scrape. The species has been an annual visitor in the past few years.

Hove Lagoon 29/1/08
My second attempt at seeing this Long-tailed Duck. Showed very well most of the time but did fly off towards Southwick when I was there.
