Seaford Head & Cuckmere Haven 2/10/13

Although movement was slower then yesterday, the spread of Ring Ouzels on the Head today was superb. A flock of 13 were moving around Hope Gap, 4 on the golf course and 2 by Harry's Bush. By far my highest total in one morning.

An afternoon walk produced another juv. Little Stint along the river, and despite a lot of time being spent around Foxhole cottages, only Chiffchaffs were seen.

The main excitement this evening however was a superb LONG-TAILED BLUE butterfly on the outskirts of Seaford.

Totals for Seaford Head are:
Ring Ouzel - 19
Firecrest - 1
Goldcrest - 1
Meadow Pipit - 205
Yellow Wagtail - 9
'alba' Wagtail - 18
Reed Bunting - 2
Song Thrush - 11
Wheatear - 1
Whinchat - 1
Whitethroat - 2
Blackcap - 30
Chiffchaff - 40
Weasel - 1
