Hope Gap, Seaford Head 17/3/10

My first walk on my migration patch this afternoon proved to be more productive then i thought it would be. Walking south across the sheep field the only sighting was of a singing Skylark.
Along the cliff edge were 3 Peregrines including a juvenile bird, 2 Ravens 'cronking away' and a few Fulmars alos flying along the cliff edge.

The area between Hope Gap and the coastguard cottages were singles of Firecrest, Goldcrest and Chiffchaff, which were my first spring arrivals. The Firecrest showed very well indeed.

Around the west side of the Cuckmere were plenty of Black-headed Gulls with a Mediterranean Gull in with them somewhere, unfortunately it was just heard and was not seen. Also Reed Bunting and Meadow Pipits were displaying.
