Pagham & West Dean Woods 7/11/12

Unfortunately dipped the Hooded Merganser at Pagham Harbour this morning, so I'm now hoping it's an escape. Afterwards I visited West Dean Woods and a Common just south of Petworth. Totals are:

West Dean Woods
Hawfinch - 4 (a group of 3 plus a single bird)
Red Kite - 2
Little Owl - 1

Common nr Petworth
Dartford Warbler - 2

The Dartfords were great to see and were very unexpected. Hopefully a warmer winter for them this year.
