Cuckmere Haven 24/11/14

It is fair to say I was very annoyed to have missed the six Whooper Swans that spent no more then twenty minutes on the meanders before flying off NE. The last documented record was of an adult flying south out to sea back in 2003.

However, I was slightly cheered up by finding two redhead Goosanders on the scrape. I've had these pass Splash Point on three occasions in the past, but this was my first record in the Cuckmere.
