The morning was a jeep safari around the reserve trying for Bitterns and Waders but also undertaking my first seawatch of the trip where the only highlight were passing Greater Crested Terns, but unfortunately no Blue Whales. After what seemed like a shortish safari we returned to the hotel for a well earned rest where a hearty lunch was had at the hotel. I had a nap before we had a trip around the nearby tanks seeing a good range of exciting species, the highlight bring a superb Black Bittern showing incredibly well, but just too dark for my camera.
