Splash Point 1/4/15

With the wind sticking in the NW direction and getting withdrawal symptoms from not looking out to sea recently, I tried a seawatch this morning in what felt like ice cold conditions. Still poor numbers for the time of year. The next SE wind will be interesting.

Totals between 6.30-9.00 are:

Common Scoter - 58
Brent Geese - 62
Red-throated Diver - 3
Great Crested Grebe - 2
Pintail - 1
Mediterranean Gull - 2

Yesterday in the Cuckmere there was nothing except from a singing male Stonechat. Haven't seen any Pipits for a while now, presumably they have moved on.
