Splash Point, West Rise & Cuckmere Haven 2/5/15

Pretty much all day spent out today and it was hopeless. About six hours of seawatching, four hours of walking and a short twitch in between for a Red-rumped Swallow at West Rise Marsh.

The seawatching today was dire with highlights being two Greenshank on the beach first thing, Seaford Head produced a flyover Yellow Wagtail with no new migrants at all in the bushes, but the Cuckmere was alright with a pair of Garganey on the scrape and four Bar-tailed Godwits showing well on the AGP pool late this evening.

the stunning Red-rumped Swallow at West Rise Marsh being my 3rd in Sussex. Well done Kris on yet another good find.
